Bring Them Home
21 FEB 2014
Supermac’s are making Christmas wishes come true this year. Supermac’s are flying home 20 people from around the world to be with their loved ones over the festive season. Imagine having your family members or friends brought back to be with you for Christmas celebrations. As there are 20 seats, and possibly more, available from various locations you could nominate to have one person or up to a family of five flown home!
Tubridy on 2fm and RTÉ One’s The Late Late Show in association with Supermac’s are once again reuniting family members from around the world for Christmas. Supermac’s, the well-known Irish fast food chain which initiated the hugely successful ‘Bring Them Home’ campaign in 2012 has returned for another year with the hope of getting loved ones home for the holidays and giving more families and friends an opportunity to spend the festive season together, no matter where in the world they are. Supermac’s ‘Bring Them Home 2013’, which was launched on last night’s The Late Late Show, goes one step further by allowing those who are abroad to nominate themselves to come home, giving Mum, Dad and everyone else who misses them the best Christmas present ever! The Late Late Show viewers will also be given the chance to win tickets on the show at Christmas to visit their family members and friends who are living abroad during 2014.
RTÉ 2fm’s Tubridy will hear stories from entrants throughout the country over the coming weeks and people can nominate to have family or friends; one person or a whole family, brought back through supermacs.ie. If you are abroad and would love to come home, you too can apply through supermacs.ie.
RTÉ 2fm and The Late Late Show presenter Ryan Tubridy said “It was one of the most heart warming moments of my broadcasting career to see families reunited after a long time apart, the looks on the faces of the relatives arriving here and those welcoming them home was pure magic hop over to this website. I can’t wait to do it again this year!”
Speaking about the initiative Pat McDonagh, Managing Director of Supermac’s, says: “We’re delighted to be helping Irish people located all over the world enjoy Christmas with those they love at home in Ireland. I hear numerous stories throughout the year of Irish people leaving the country to find work, which is a tough decision and a difficult road at times when they are away from those closest to them. We had such a positive response to last year’s campaign and brought joy to so many families we knew it had to become an annual drive. Supermac’s has always focused on bringing families together and, with the cost of flights at their highest during the festive period, this is something we’re able to do to help our customers on a wider international scale.”
For further details stay tuned to Tubridy every week day on RTÉ 2fm from 9am – 11am and RTÉ One’s The Late Late Show from 9.30pm every Friday, or visit www.supermacs.ie.
